1 — 2 weeks
The first step is to contract our team to analyze the existing conditions of your property and the local building permit requirements. This insures that your land is properly zoned for one of our modular structures. At the end of this phase, we provide you with a Feasibility Report, outlining the critical components needed to move forward.
Pre-designed: 2 — 3 weeks
Custom: 6 — 8 weeks
Our Design Team will work with you to develop selections best suited for your property, budget and goals. For custom projects, we will contract with you to develop a set of architectural plans, details and material selections. For our pre-designed homes, we will work with you to specify materials. After which, Steelblox will produce a fixed price for your modular structure and a cost estimate for the site work, which may be performed by us or a local General Contractor of your choice.
2 — 6 months
Once your contract is executed, engineering and permitting begins! We develop and oversee the production of drawings required for submittal, and coordinate with local and state agencies to obtain necessary permits. The General Contractor will use the final engineering drawings to refine many costs for site work.
Modular: 8 — 12 weeks
Sitework: 12 — 16 weeks
We commence modular production at our climate controlled manufacturing facility. Simultaneously the General Contractor will schedule and begin work on the foundation, flatwork and utility connections. Modular components will be shipped to the site and installed according to the plans.
1 — 2 weeks
Upon delivery of the modular components, we put the finishing touches on your new Modular Home or Commercial structure. A detailed review and approval process is conducted, and your structure receives a Certificate of Occupancy from local building departments. Our journey together is now complete!
